Beatrice Athanas, realistic painter of european landscapes, was born in Germany
and has traveled and lived in Europe, South America and the Caribbean.
She is a graduate at Helene-Lange Lycee in Hamburg which was instrumental in introducing
her to the arts and foreign languages.
She came to the United States in 1971, and continued her arts education through studio
classes at Crealde Art School in Winter Park, Fl, oil painting instruction from noted New York
artist Gregg Kreutz, the late Ralph L. Bagley of Winter Park, her friend and mentor for many years,
the late Clayton Martindale of Orlando, plus various workshops with contemporary American masters.
The inspiration for her paintings come from her many travels, special moments from her past
